Black Star winger Christian Atsu hauled his New Castle United side back to the summit in the English Championship. The Toon wide man dazzled his way in the top of the table clash to force a 1-2 away at at Brighton Hove Albiom.
The on loan Chelsea winger saw his persistence paid with a perfect ball to Ayoze Perez on the stroke of full time to deny the host a late point. The nomadic winger bagged a well deserved assist as a reward for his tenacity all game long that saw the Toons reincarnated from a 1-0 defeat into an eventual 2-1 winners.
Glenn Murray shot the host ahead in the keenly contested top of the table clash before Mame Brian Diuf pulled parity for the visitors with 15 minutes on the clock.
The end to end stuff failed to record it’s third goal despite several goal scoring chances at either ends of the pitch. Christian Atsu how ever inked his name into the Toon faithful with jinking run and a precise ball to Ayoze Perez with one minute on the clock. The Ghana international exploded down the flank and his precise ball allowed Perez to finish the game on the stroke of full time .
