Wa All Stars shot stopper Baba Musah is relieved to have recorded the first three points of the campaign after a nightmare start to their title defence. The former WAFA SC shot stopper starred for the champions in a 1-0 win over Inter Allies at the Wa Park.
The imposing shot stopper arrested a run of five consecutive home games without a clean sheet as the reigning champions earned a dramatic win over their capital based visitors. The relieved Baba Musah credited the entire team for their collective effort during the course of the game and called on the supporters’ wing of the club to rally behind the team as they move away from the slump.
Wa All Stars are on a dreadful turn of results that include one win in the last five matches in all competitions prior to the Inter Allies game but their shot stopper, Baba Musah is refusing to give in just five games into the season. The appealing shot stopper rallied the supporters of the club to throng to the last park like they did in the past years as they redeem their lost image.
“Football is one funny game nobody can predict in the next one minute. We were flying across the league in just 12 months ago but here we are struggling to even record just a win.
“As a collective sport we won based on our effort and determination but the supporters played a key role too. I am calling on the supporter’s wing to still continue supporting as we move away from the bottom part of the table.
“This is the time we need our supporters to cheer us on weekly basis as we get back on tract. With the collective effort like against Inter Allies, we will be up there very soon especially with two outstanding games still to play”, Baba Musah told GhanaSportsMail.com.
The gargling shot stopper manned the post for Wa All Stars at home to the Inter Allies as they earned a late winner in his season debut for the GHPL title holders.
