CAF: Issah Hayattou To Contest Election Results

written by Editor

Long serving African football supremo, Issah Hayattou, is set to contest the recent general election that cost him his seat at the CAF seat. The Cameroonian is set to storm the FIFA ethics committee in search of justice as he claimed the election was rigged in favour of Ahmad Ahmad.

The teacher turned football administrator is set to drag the continent’s highest governing football body to FIFA as he planned to seek for redress at the highest level. If accepted by the Ethics committee of FIFA, the long serving CAF boss could be gunning for re-election after almost three decades of leadership at the pinnacle of African football.

CAF replaced Issah Hayattou with Madagascar FA Boss , Ahmad Ahmad, in a landslide won that saw Ahmad edging out Hayattou at 34-20.

written by Editor

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is set to make his audition as the manager of the national team with a mouth watering clash in Kumasi early next month. The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko full back has been given a perfect platform to kick start his second spell as the head coach at the dreaded Baba Yara Sports stadium when the Black Stars host Ethiopia in a 2019 AFCON qualifier.

The Black Stars of Ghana last played a competitive fixture at the Baba Yara stadium three years ago in a 2015 AFCON clash but has been offered a way back to the stadium as a way of welcoming their new trainer. New Kotoko Trainer Pledges To Revive The Club’s Ailing Fortunes

written by Editor

New trainer for Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steve Polack has promised to revive the ailing fortunes of the club ahead of his imminent arrival for the second half of the campaign. The English trainer for Berekum Chelsea recently agreed a deal with the beleaguered Kumasi based to trade camps for the start of the second department of the season.

The expatriate trainer for the Blues enjoyed two spells in the Ghana premier league with King Faisal and Berekum Chelsea before returning to the Golden City for the start of the current campaign. The soft spoken tactician masterminded an impressive home record for the 2010 league that has so far dropped points just on one occasion, coincidentally against Kotoko.

Speaking to Joy Sports ahead of his imminent arrival at the camp of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steve Polack echoed the need for collective approach that includes the fans, management, the players and anybody related to the club.

“We know where Kumasi Asante Kotoko should be and we are going to work extra harder to achieve that.  The players are going to work harder, the management will work harder, the fans will work harder and we are going to work together”, Steve Polack told Joy Sports

Kumasi Asante Kotoko parted ways with their croat trainer Zdravko Lugarusic after eight games into the campaign and are winless since that time.

Inter Allies Trainer Patches Up With Management

written by Editor

Inter Allies trainer Prince Owusu has patched up with club management after a frosty past few weeks resulting in suspension of the Tema based gaffer.

The former Medeama SC assistant Coach Prince Owusu has exclusively told Joy Sports his relationship with the club management is as rosy as before despite his suspension two weeks ago.

The Eleven is To One trainer was asked to stay away from his team for a week after disagreement but was recalled a week later. Inter Allies play Bolga All Stars in match day 14 of the Ghana premier league and the confident trainer has confirmed patching up with his club officials ahead of the visit of the Bolga based opponents.

The former Medeama Sc Coach tells Joys sports centre he has patched up with management and that their relationship has returned to its rosy best.

“We are all doing our jobs very well. They are doing their jobs very well and I am doing mine well.

“We had some misunderstanding but we sat down to discuss it and accepted it.

“That is how I am. If you say something wrong I will tell you as it is and we move on. I don’t take things personal”, Prince Owusu told Joy Sports.

Inter Allies endured a nightmare start to the season and are languishing precariously around the wavy colored relegation zone. The Labaadi based side sold a number of their star players in the summer which has negatively affected their output in the opening 13 round of matches played.

David Accam Opens Up On His Rampant Form In MLS

written by Editor

Ghana international David Accam opened up on his razor blade form in  the MLS after a near perfect start to the season. The Chicago Fire attacker credited weight lifting and marshal art for his rampant form in the MLS.

In an exclusive interview from his Chicago based in the US, the Ghanaian import credited Chuck Norris for his ruthless form in the division. The Ghanaian forward grew up a fan of the television series “Walker, Texas Ranger,” which starred martial arts expert Chuck Norris.

“In Ghana, the show was huge, and every kid watched it when it was on once a week,” Accam said after practice Wednesday in Bridgeview.

Walker, a mix, recently gave birth to eight puppies back in Ghana.

“I haven’t seen the babies yet, but I have pictures and am looking forward to seeing them,” Accam said.

After scoring 19 goals over his first two seasons, Accam credits his decision to add a more strenuous weightlifting program in the offseason with helping his game.

“I feel sharper and stronger and can see the difference,” Accam said. “I know I can do better than what I’m doing, and hopefully I can get into my game more so we can get points on the road.”

The Black Stars forward is expected to earn a place in the team when the new list is release very soon.
