Former Ghana national team trainer and current coach for Al Khartoum is set to be appointed the new coach for the black Stars baring any last minute hitches. The retired Ghana international handled the Black Stars as a head coach between April 2012 and September 2014 but look destined to replace the departed Grant as the new manager for the four times African champions.
Information in the Ghanaian home based media all but confirmed the return of the Sudan based trainer after a successful negotiations with the selection team. The 56 year old former left back for the Black Stars reportedly shook off competition from Hugo Broos and French man Willy Sagnol for the highest managerial seat in the land. His approval is only pending some few details with the salary structure on top of affairs.
James Akwasi qualified the Black Stars for the 2014 FIFA world cup staged in Brazil 3 years old but the fracas and the aftermath of the Brazil saga forced James out of the team. The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko left back is however expected to be unveiled latest by the close of the week.
