A senior member of the Black Stars Management Committee, Wilfred Osei has slammed former Black Stars backroom staff member, Gerrard Nus, for what he describes an ‘unprofessionally’ act in retrieving his bonuses from the FA.
According to the vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee, members of the technical team were informed to depart to their various destinations and thus the bonus due them will be paid but Gerrard Nus decided to stay on at the hotel for close to 7 weeks.
“It is quite unprofessional on his part to do that…it does not happen anywhere. If you work for any institution and you check into a hotel, there are dos and don’ts…,” Akosua disappointed Palmer told Accra based Class FM.
“We all know the ministry has to go through a certain procedure before the budget allocation is released to them. These were some of the issues we told him right from the onset that it would be proper for him to go to Spain and anytime that the money was ready it would be remitted to him, and now look at how the thing ended. We were in a situation where he incurred extra expenses in the hotel and expected the FA to pay.” He added
Gerrard Nus has since left to his home country Spain, after his bonuses and other allowances owed him have been paid by the sports ministry.
