Ranking member of the Black Stars management committee, Charles Wilfred Osei Palmer has revealed that the next Black Stars coach will be made to stay and work on Ghana.
The male senior football team have been without a head coach after former coach Avram Grant resigned just after the African Cup of Nations in Gabon.
In a radio interview with Accra based Joy Sports, Osei Palmer said the new stars coach will stay and work in Ghana.
“The next coach will be part of Ghanaians. He would stay in Ghana and monitor the local leagues”
“The target for the next Black Stars coach will be to qualify Ghana at all cost to the 2018 world cup” – He added.
Quizzed on the calls for Akwasi Appiah as the next coach, Osei Palmer said only the GFA has the sole responsibility.
“I don’t think anybody has the moral rights to tell the Ghana Football Association who to appoint as Black Stars coach”
The GFA is expected to announce the Stars new coach very soon.
