Former Liberty Professionals attacker Latif Blessing opened his scoring account for Swope Park Rangers in a 3- 1 win over OKC Energy in the USL. The Sporting Kansas attacker joined Swope Park on a season long loan spell but needed the opening rounds to find the back of the net.
The 21 year old Ghanaian import scored the second goal for his side to put them in front after an opening goal from Andre Andrews for the Energy Kotbus. The 2016 Ghana Premier league golden boot winner fired home a grass cutter to put his side into the lead for the first time on the night having to a 23rd minute opener for the visitors.
Park Maher levelled the scores for OKC Energy but it was Latif who stole the limelight with his opening goal in the US second tier. Daniel Sallaoi, who provided Latif Blessing’s goal rounded the scoring with 20 minutes to go as Rangers mauled Energy by 3-1.
