Captain of the male senior football team, Asamoah Gyan believes he is working hard to regain his fitness and form.
Asamoah Gyan was a half-fit striker for the Stars during the African Cup of Nations held in Gabon, January this year, where Ghana placed a disappointing 4th position.
” I am gaining back my fitness level, it’s been a while since I last played for 90 minutes. Currently I’m able to engage in certain training methods which wasn’t the case sometime back” Gyan said in an interview with Accra based Hot FM.
” I think I’m gaining my form as well though I’m not impressed with my game to goal ratio judging it statistically ”
Asamoah Gyan expressed great confidence in his ability and is convinced he can match any top striker in the world once he’s fit and playing .
Quizzed on what the future holds for him, club-wise, Gyan said he will only make a final decision a month to the end of the season with Al-Ain.
Asamoah Gyan has found the net 4 times in 11 appearances for his club, starting in 5 of those games.
