I will leave FA post at the right time – Kwesi Nyantakyi

written by Editor March 20, 2017

With the wind of change sweeping across the football world, calls for the resignation of Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi has intensified now more than ever but the newly elected FIFA Council member, says he will relinquish his Ghana FA position when the time is due.

The Ghana football chief played a major role to help elect Madagascar’s Ahmad Ahmad as new CAF president which brought to an end Hayatou’s 29 years reign as president of CAF.

Speaking to the press upon his arrival from Ethiopia, Nyantakyi revel he has learnt from Hayatou’s defeat.

“It’s a lesson we should all learn, when you [are] in leadership, a time will come that you have to move if you don’t move on you will be moved away; all of us including me. A time will come a strong wind will move you away”,

“In regards with my position as Ghana football president, I will step down at the right time” – He added.

Kwesi Nyantakyi will be a FIFA Council member till the year 2021.
