Elmina based league debutants, Elmina Sharks kept up with their fine form with a win a 1-0 win over AshantiGold at the Papa Kwesi Ndoum Stadium. Midfielder, Tetteh Nortey converted from the spot in the 33rd minute to give them the lead and what was to become the only goal in the game after some beautiful display right from the blast of the whistle. The win over the miners, take them to 6th on the log with 12 points.
At the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope, academy boys, WAFA again proved their home ground is a fortress when they registered 2 goals against Berekum Chelsea to pick all 3 maximum points.
WAFA has they’ve been doing all the time, had the lions share of possession in the first half but failed to convert them. Midfielder, Emmanuel Boateng broke the deadlock on the 66th minute thanks to a 0-0 thunderbolt which went pass Berekum Chelsea’s John Moosie, who was in post.

After a barren 45 minutes of action, Bolga All Stars drew first blood in the 75th minute thanks to Hafiz Konkoni, who capitalized on a defensive blunder to slot home. Eric Owusu equalized 12 minutes later much to the delight of the away fans and sorrow of the home supporters but Maxwell Frimpong was on hand to connect from close range to secure all 3 points for the financial-stricken northern club. The win takes them to 14th on the table.
League leaders, Aduana Stars saw their 100% start to the league brought to an end by a spirited Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium.
In-form striker, Nicholas Gyan struck home on the 29th minute to give Dwarfs the lead and take his personal goal tally of the season to 6.
Just before the first half came to an end, Osman Mohammed doubled the home sides lead. The Ogya boys put up a much more determined performance in the second half a
and were duly rewarded with a goal in 62nd minute by Tanko Mohammed to reduce the deficit.
The league leaders kept knocking for an equalizer but the home team held their fort to snatch all 3 points and bring Aduana’s unbeaten record to and end.
Despite tasting defeat, Ogya Boys maintain their top spot with 17 points from 8 games but have played a game more than second placed Asante Kotoko who will be playing guests to Accra Hearts of Oak at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium on Sunday.
