Ghana international Micheal Essien has inked a professional deal with Indonesian side Club Persib. The 34 year old joined the Asian top flight side after ending his deal with Greek side Panathinaikos half way into the three year deal.
The former Chelsea anchor man left the shores of the Europe for the first time in his career. The 34 year old Ghanaian starred prominently for Chelsea with over 250 appearance for the 2012 UEFA champions league winners.
Micheal Essien joined the European train in 2001 after a starring role at the 2001 FIFA world cup and has since featured for the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea , Panathinaikos, Bastia , Olympic Lyonais and AC Milan.
His rolling deal with the Indonesian side could be the last club in a glamorous career for the former Liberty Professional midfield icon. Micheal ‘Bison’ Essien has enjoyed a stellar career at the international level despite missing out on any silverware with the Black Stars of Ghana.
