The German Machines landed in London on a Tuesday night at the Emirates stadium as Arsenal suffered their worst Champions league defeat on home soil under Arsene Wenger. The Bavarians mauled their London opponents 5-1 to complete a 10-2 aggregate win in the champions league and put Arsene Wenger at the mercy of the angered Gunners family.
Bayern Munich progressed into the Quaters as the team to beat bur not after an early scare from the inconsistent Gunners. Theo Walcott opened the scoring for the English side very early into the second leg to ressurect a non existing hope. A red card to Lorient Koselny however toned down any hope harboured by the Gunners with Arthuro Vidal leading by example.
The Chile international dispatched two second half goals to add Arjen Robben, Robert Lewandowski and Douglas Costa as the visitors run riot. It ended 5-1 , in a replica of the score line at the Allianz Arena in Germany in the first leg .
