Ghana international Andre Ayew came off the bench to provide a last gasp assist in West Ham United Monday clash with Chelsea. The Hammers Ghanaian import located his attacking partner Marco Lanzini on the stroke of full time to give the home side a consolation strike.
The former Swans forward, who opened his English Premeir league scoring against Chelsea , pledged to shoot down the Blues ahead of the Monday night clash but could only lay his team mate after coming in as a substitute. The 26 year old came on in the 64th minute for Algerian wide Soufiyane Fergouli with the Blues leading leading 2-0 already.
A pinpoint ball from the former Marseilles man however fell kindly for Lanzini, who found the back of the net with almost the last kick of the game. The visitors however stood firm and recorded their 5th London derby win in 7 games or 18 wins in the last 21 leagues games.
Chelsea retore their 10 point lead at the summit over the high flying Spurs going into the home streak end of the season.
