Bechem United trainer Vincenzo Alberto is in jubilant mood after his side tamed Accra Great Olympics away from home. The expatriate trainer for the reigning MTN FA cup holders acknowledged the quality of his opposition players but did not mince words in praising his players too.
The Brong Ahafo based trainer with Bechem United compounded the woes of Accra Great Olympics with a 1-3 reverse in the nation’s capital. A brace from Amed Simba Toure added to Yaw Arnor’s opener in a vital away win for the Hunters in the rescheduled match day one fixture.
Speaking to the press after the first win of the season, Vincenzo Alberto touted the quality of opposition faced on the day but credited his players for the three points.
“I stayed in Ghana for like 47 days and what I know is that every match is very important since each match comes with three points.
“To bring three points especially away from home is not easy and we must respect this Olympics team.
” I faced them twice in the preseason and it was very hard for us.
“It has been very hard to win games but thanks to the quality of players I have ,we won the game “, Alberto told the press after the 1-3 at Accra.
Accra Great Olympics are yet to win a game in the opening 4 rounds of the league despite their star duo of Osah Bernadinho and Abel Manomey tormenting defenders already. Bechem United meanwhile crushed out of the Caf confederation Cup and have two of their fixtures postponed in the opening four matches of the season.
