Ghanaian Abroad : Kennedy , Rashid On Target, Boateng Leads Palmas

written by Editor February 25, 2017

Kennedy Boateng and Rashid Sumaila found the back of the net for their respective clubs across the planet to mark a weekend of packed programmes for Ghanaian players abroad. The pair are joined by a list of players that starred for their clubs on a Friday night led by Kelvin Prince Boateng.

In the Arabian Kingdom , Black Stars defender, Rashid Sumaila, continues to add some precious dollars to his price tag with another goal for Al Gharafa. The imposing defender saw his impressive outing for the Saudi based side capped with an all important equaliser. The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko center back canceled out an earlier strike from Nathan Otavio before a late strike from Abdul Ganiu won the game for Al Gharafa.

In Italy , chunck of the Ghanaian players will be playing on Saturday and Sunday but the exploits of Rahman Chipsah deserve our utmost attention. The Benevento midfielder starred prominently for his side in a 3-4 home reverse to Bari 1908. The Ghanaian import lasted the full throttle for the Serie B side in the 7 goal thriller on Friday night.

In Scotland, English born Ghanaian forward , watched proceedings from the bench as Glasgow Rangers sort it out with Iverness CT. The former Leicester player has so far failed to set Glasgow ablaze after a promising start at the King Power.

In Spain , self exiled Black Stars attacking midfielder, Kevin Prince Boateng , saw out 90 minutes for Las Palmas in their painful 0-1 defeat at home to Real Sociedad. La Real got away with all three points in a painful manner after string of awesome passing from the Yellows on home soil.

In Germany , Phil Ofosu Ayeh, provided the all important assist for Braunsweich as they earned a priceless win away tj Sanhaussen. The Ghanaian left back executed his defensive duties all day long before proving crucial at the end of the pitch as well.

In Austria, Kennedy Boateng and Gideon Mensah clashed on the pitch for the first time in their careers. The pair both lasted the full 90 minutes but it was the former who rejoiced at the end of the 90 minutes.

Boateng bossed the back line for his side and capped his debut outing with a goal for LASK Linz away to Leifering. The tie eventually ended 0-3 with Boateng scoring the 3rd.

In France , Ebenezer Assifuah missed out for Le Havre at home to Auxere in the France ligie II after his arrival from Switzerland. The youngster has been confined to a bench warmer since arriving in the winter.

There was no place in the starting XI for Thomas Agyepong as NAC Breda edged out Volendam in the Dutch Ertse league. The midfielder has been ever present for the Dutch side until his latest injury setback turned him into a spectator.
Still in the Netherlands, Dutch born Ghanaian goal machine , Jonathan Opoku, was conspicuously missing for VVV as they mauled Archiles 29 by a 3-0 score line. The Ghanaian has scored 11 goals already but was handed a rest as a precautionary measure .
