He also led Ghana’s Olympic Team to a Bronze medal at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, , the first such accolade for any African team.
He was the man in charge when the Black Satellites at the 1991 Africa Youth Championship in Egypt, finishing third.
He also had spells in charge of the senior national team, taking charge for a year from 1996 to 1997, and in 2004.
At club level Arday handled local giants, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Okwahu United.
Prior to his demise, he was with WAFA where he saw to the development of youth talents.
